Oasis Church of Arlington is a restart of the former Grace Temple Baptist Church. In November 2009, Grace Temple made a heartfelt and faithful decision to be better stewards of the resources God had given to them. The church decided to sell its property and to use the proceeds to plant a new church with the remaining members. The property sold in April 2010 and by May of that same year we were meeting in a rented ballroom to hold one worship service a week. You can join us at 11:00 am every Sunday at Kassi’s Ballroom, located at 1011 E Arkansas Lane, Suite 108.
During that transition period the church completed the first stage of their restart- reorganization. After lots of discussion about a new vision and plan for ministry, we adopted a new constitution, a new name, and new articles of incorporation. The church’s reorganization service was held on August 15, 2010.

Reorganization Service, August 15, 2010
The second part of our restart is relocation. We looked extensively at leasing options and decided that it would cost too much money with no permanent solution for meeting space. We even considered an existing building shell that could be finished to fit our use, but no opportunity arose. Instead of these, we decided to purchase land where we could build a small building to meet our worship and children’s ministry needs. We believed that our target area would be somewhere in the south Collins area, & after quite a bit of looking, God provided the right place for the right price when the time was right.
Our new location will be at 1211 East Sublett Road, near the intersection of Collins and Sublett. To find out more about where we are in the process, go to our Move with US page. In the meantime, we’d love to have you visit and join us in this journey!
